John F. Hayhurst, DDS, MS

Dr. John Hayhurst received his BA degree from the University of Denver in 1961.  He subsequently attended the UMKC School of Dentistry earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1965.  He practiced general dentistry in Durango, Colorado before entering Orthodontic residency in 1969 at UMKC.  During this time, Dr. Hayhurst was awarded a Tweed Scholorship.  Dr. Hayhurst was asked to present the results of his Masters thesis at the annual meeeting of the Tweed Society and did so at their annual meeting in August of 1971.

Dr. Hayhurst extablished his private orthodontic practice in Boulder, Colorado in 1971 practicing continually until joining the Lake Dental Clinic in 1990.

Dr. Hayhurst served as President of the Denver Summer Orthodontic Seminar in 1980 and continued as a director until 1990.

Dr. Hayhurst is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), a member of the Mid-Western Society of Orthodontics, The American Dental Association (ADA) and the Missouri Dental Association.
